The president of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, has called on Nigerians to pray for a full recovery of the nation’s economy in 2018.
In his New Year message, he said a strong economy would enable the government to achieve physical development.
Former president Ibrahim Babangida called on Nigerians to renew their commitment to the nation’s collective prosperity, growth and development.
He said such contribution would ensure rapid socio-economic and political development of the country.
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has stressed the need for the federal government to attend to needs that have direct bearings on the lives of Nigerians.
He promised that the House of Representatives will continue to pass laws that will better the lives of Nigerians, create a conducive business environment for investments and secure the lives and properties of Nigerians in 2018.
The speaker commended the resilience and determination of Nigerians in the midst of daunting challenges, expressing optimism that better days were ahead.
