Beauty Tips

I’m sure you all know that feeling you get when you buy a new lipstick? Omg! You just can’t wait to have it on and show how perfectly it matches your skin.

However, the worse happens when you apply the lipstick and get your grove on, only to get your wine glass and teeth all smudged up. Oops! What happened?!

Oh well… You didn’t apply that lippy right, hence the smudge! Applying your lipstick evenly is a commitment and requires a bit of patience to make the end look all perfect and worth it.

You can follow this step-by-step process to apply your lipstick and make it look all glam, also saving yourself the frustration of having to reapply on an hourly basis.

Step 1: Form the habit of prepping your lips first to avoid peeling or dryness. Dampen your lips and use a soft brush to exfoliate gently.

Step 2: Apply lip balm or a moisturizer.

Step 3: To ensure a long-lasting color, a primer or a concealer is essential. Swipe on the primer first and then follow up with a lip liner. Use a shade that matches closely with the colour of lipstick you using. A lip liner helps keep the lipstick from bleeding and feathering.

Step 4: Now to the lipstick – Apply your lipstick using a lip brush for precise application and greater control, using thin swipes to layer on desired intensity. Look out for lipsticks with high pigmentation or with a matte finish for a long-lasting effect.

Step 5: Using a tissue, lightly blot your lips after the first application of lipstick. This helps to take off any excess oil and reduce the shiny effect.

Step 6: Set your lipstick with a little amount of high definition setting powder. This helps to lock and keep colour in place.

Step 7: Lastly, apply your last coat, again with your lip brush, over the top of the translucent powder. And there you go….the perfect finishing!!

Now with these tips and your lipstick in place, be sure to rock that party hard and never let go of that champagne glass!

Kisses darlings, till I bring you another interesting article next week. Ciao
