Senator Sani Condemns Killing of 4 Policemen In Kaduna
Senator Shehu Sani has condemned the killing of four policemen in Kaduna State on Saturday.
He said via his twitter handle that the killing of four policemen in Kaduna by Kidnappers is condemnable. He said, “Enough of this kidnappings and killings. All security agencies and the general public must rise up against this atrocious crime. My condolences to the families of the deceased.”
The four policemen included Inspector Haruna Ibrahim, Inspector Mamman Abubakar, Sergeant Emanuel Istifanus, and Inspector Bernard Odibo.
The four worked with the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) but were killed by kidnappers during the exchange of gunfire.
Our correspondent learnt that six of the kidnappers were also killed while three of them escaped.
Confirming the incident, the leader of the team, Mr Abba Kyari, a Deputy Commissioner of Police, said that the policemen fought gallantly to maintain peace in their father’s land.
Kyari said the incident happened when the suspected gunmen ambushed the operatives during a follow-up operation on the kidnapping of one Sheikh Ahmad Adam Algarkawy in Rigasa area of Kaduna.
