Six Dead, 17 Injured In Suicide Attacks On IDP Camps
Two camps of the Internally Displaced Persons in Maiduguri Borno State were attacked by suicide bombers, killing six people and leaving 17 injured.
This was disclosed by Mr. Abdulkadir Ibrahim, the spokesman of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, adding that three suicide bombers attacked Dalori 1 and Dalori 2 IDP camps and detonated their explosives.
According to him, the camp is the largest camp where victims of Boko Haram insurgence are being housed.
As the spokesman, Abdulkadir put it, two (2) of the suicide bombers successfully detonated their explosives device at the Dalori 1 camp leading to their death and the third one later detonated his own, leaving 17 people injured.
Meanwhile another suicide bomber who was trying to escape was shot by the soldiers and had her explosives detonated. She died in the process and left many others injured.
Meanwhile the 17 injured people had been taken to hospital where they are currently receiving treatment.
