Tinubu Tackles Obasanjo On Letter Writing
Former Lagos State Governor and national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has called on ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo to stop writing damaging letters against the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He made this call at the Ikot Ekpene township stadium where Senator Godswill Akpabio defected to the All Progressives Congress from the Peoples Democratic Party.
Tinubu, while receiving Akpabio said that Obasanjo led the country under PDP for 16 years but failed to do something tangible.
He said, “Tell their papa to stop writing letters. This is a digital age, people don’t write letters but send e-mail. We use social media, including WhatsApp to communicate.”
According to him, what the PDP knows how to do is looting and stealing. “The PDP only knows how to share the public funds. We will not allow them to come back and loot us dry,” he said.
He explained that the All Progressives Congress-led government stands for the masses where the money will be distributed to take care of everybody instead of being shared among some politicians.
Tinubu noted that it was a thing of joy for him that the people of Akwa Ibom had embraced the change as he proclaimed Akapabio the new APC leader in the state.
