Two cultists (David Seun and Ahmed Sulaiman) Arrested in Lagos State

Two suspected cultists were arrested in Lagos on Monday by the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad.

The suspects, named David Seun and Ahmed Sulaiman were arrested in Oregun Area of the state where they had been terrorizing the residents.

According to the State Police Public Relation Officer, Damasus Ozoani, the cultists were among 59 miscreants arrested by the RRS across the state.

The Police PR said that the suspects also included 13 young boys who were apprehended for drugs addiction and that they had since been handed over to the state Task Force on Environmental and Special Offences.

Confessing one of the suspected cultist, Seun claimed to be a tailor, adding that he was arrested in his shop while he was busy working by the RRS officers.

But in his confession, Sulaiman stated that he had been a member of the cult group for about three years, adding he was initiated into the group by Seun.

He said that though his colleague Seun is a tailor, he introduced him to cultism.

“I was an apprentice with Mr. Seun’s friend before he invited to join the group. He asked me to always come to tailors meeting despite that I was an apprentice. The meeting later turned to cult group.” Sulaiman lamented.
