Two Die In Lagos Auto Crash
The Apapa-Oshodi Expressway was thrown into chaos early Wednesday morning, following an accident that claimed two lives.
The crash occurred at Ilsamaja Bus Stop when a bus ran into another vehicle, killing two people with several others injured.
Confirming the tragedy, the General Manager of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, Mr Adesina Tiamiyu, said that two persons died instantly while many others were injured.
He said that the quick response of the officials of LASEMA helped to reduce the number of dead persons as those injured were rushed to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba.
The accident, according to eyewitnesses is not connected with the tankers that are usually parked on the road but the recklessness of the commercial drivers on the expressway.
The accident threw the long road in heavy traffic on Wednesday as thousands of commuters were stranded.
