Two PDP Governors, Others Travel Out To Visit Buhari In London
Six State Governors, including those elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP have been directed to report at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja for an onward journey to London.
The office of the National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Munguno (retd.) gave the directive to the governors for a visit to the ailing President Muhammadu Buhari.
The six governors were selected from the six geopolitical zone and the purpose of their journey is to pay a get well visit to the president and also maximize the opportunity to brief him on the situation of things back home.
Those that were invited included Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo), Dave Umahi (Ebonyi), Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom) and Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara).
The remaining two governors were not named because they were yet to signify their intention of visiting the president.
However, findings showed that they were from the northern states of the country.
According to investigation, the governors would also have lunch with the president before they would return to Nigeria.
On Sunday, four governors from APC states visited the president and had lunch with him but a PDP chieftain and former Minister of Aviation, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode described the visit as false.
He alleged that the governors had posted old pictures they took with Buhari in Abuja to claim they were in London.
