US Varsity Never Demanded My WAEC Certificate – Adeleke
The Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate for Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has shed light on his West Africa School Leaving Certificate from Ede Grammar School.
He spoke after the Osun State High Court dismissed the suit filed against his eligibility before Justice David Oladimeji on Thursday in Ede.
Adeleke said that he had kept mute since the issue of his certificate became a subject of litigation and had to speak on Thursday that the court had cleared him.
He explained that he actually attended the Ede Grammar School between 1979 and 1981 and that many of his mates were still alive to testify to the claim.
Adeleke said as a student of Ede Grammar School, he was very popular because of his love for football and was not focused on academic.
He stated that at the time he was writing WASCE, his mind was in the US, adding that he left Nigeria shortly after the examination.
Adeleke stated that he later gained admission to a US university, saying the institution never requested for his WAEC certificate to secure a placement.
“I only wrote their qualifying exams and passed. Nobody requested for my WAEC certificate,” he said.
