US Will Not Tolerate Killings of Christians In Nigeria – Trump
US President, Mr Donald Trump has told Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari that the US government will not accept the killing of Christians in Nigeria.
Trump said this when Buhari visited him at the White House on Monday, as he described the killings of Christians as a serious problem that the US government would not tolerate.
Trump also raised concern over the burning of churches by hoodlums in Nigeria, calling on the Buhari-led government to do something fast to address the anomalies.
He pledged the support of the US government to Nigeria to ensure that the killings are put to a stop as soon as possible.
Trump said this shortly before he entered into a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Oval Office in the White House, Washington DC.
“We have met before, we have a great relationship. I look forward to our discussion today again, especially as it relates to terrorism. Terrorism all over the world is a hotbed and we are going to be stopping it.
“We have had very serious problems with Christians who are being murdered in Nigeria; We are going to be working on that problem very, very hard because we cannot allow that to happen,” he said.
