Why Buhari Must Work From Home Now
The Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmad has said that the President will be working from home for now.
He said this via his twitter handle, adding that the president’s office is undergoing renovation.
He explained that the president’s home is well equipped for him to discharge his official duties pending the completion of renovation works at his office.
“The president will be back to the main office after the work,” Ahmad said.
Meanwhile, the president signed the letter of his resumption at about 11am on Monday and forwarded it to the National Assembly.
He met with the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo who briefed him on the situation of things.
Buhari also took time to speak with some of his aides, including the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, his colleague, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu.
He also spoke with his Chief of Staff Mallam Abba Kyari and the Senior Special Assistant on National Assembly Matters Alhaji Kawu Sumaila.
Meanwhile the leadership of the National Assembly said that it had received the president’s letter indicating his return to the country.
Senate President Bukola Saraki acknowledged receipt of the President’s resumption letter.
He said that he had acknowledged the receipt of the letter and since notified the senate about it.
