Why I Visited Former President Obasanjo – Saraki

President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki said he visited former President Olusegun Obasanjo to make up for the official inauguration of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library he could not attend last year.

Saraki arrived the Obasanjo library at about 5:30 pm on Monday and went straight into a closed-door meeting with the former president.

Though he refused to disclose the purpose of his meeting with Obasanjo, the Senate president said that he had come to have a look at the library, describing it as world class and beautiful educational institution.

However, sources said that Saraki’s visit was not unconnected with the plan by some senators of the All Progressives Congress to impeach him.

The meeting lasted for about one and a half hours. Former president Obasanjo did not entertain interview from journalists as he saw off Saraki.

Saraki had earlier visited former military Head of State, Gen. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida in Minna, Niger State.
