World Cup: Rohr Warns Croatia Against Nigeria
The Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has warned Nigeria opponents in the world cup not to underrate his team or else they will have themselves to blame.
Rohr said this as the team prepared to leave Austria for Russia to put finishing touches to their game against Croatia on Saturday.
He explained that Nigeria would take each opponent as they come and would play them tactically to announce that Nigeria is also a strong contender for the cup.
Rohr said that for any team to underrate Nigeria could be suicidal to the opponent as the Super Eagles had prepared well to surprise the world.
Many Nigerians had lost hope about the super eagles coming up with any surprise after the team lost its final friendly match against Czech a few days ago in Austria.
The team also lost 1-2 to England and 0-2 to Serbia during the friendlies.
However, Rohr said that the necessary steps had been taken to correct the lapses during the friendlies, describing the losses as blessings in disguise.
